A chance comment by a customer has led us to develop an addition that will be included with all English Worry Beads. The lady asked if the hard woods smelt any different from each other. Unfortunately they do not however it “sewed the seed” of using the worry beads to tackle another of the bodies’ senses, the sense of smell.
After numerous failed attempts we have created our own unique recipe for a wax that can be applied to English Worry Beads. The wax has been infused with a strong pear aromatic so that whilst rubbing it into the wood and leather the warmth from your fingers stimulates the aroma. It also contains beeswax so creates a beautiful shine on any of the hard woods we use.
Where the wax comes into its own is when it is rubbed along the length of the leather cord for a 1Pear. Not only does the smell intoxicate you but over about 60 minutes the leather becomes soft and highly tactile.
After using the wax on the wood try doing some of the tricks detailed for the 2Pears. They can also be attempted for the 1Pear (mini), but are a lot harder. After a matter of seconds the aroma of pear is driven into the air and you feel bathed in the beautiful smell. The ultimate in distraction?
The wax comes in a small 10ml tin so that it will fit in the leatherette pouch and can therefore be taken everywhere your worry beads go. Only a tiny amount is needed for each application so the tin should last for ages. Depending on the feedback we receive we will introduce over aromas of wax to be purchased separately.
As always, please let me have your views on this. If you have any stories where worry beads have helped you, please drop me an email.
